If you would like to do a self-test to be certain if you have Candida, you can do the Candida Spit test, and/or the Candida Questionnaire. I have included
a video that thoroughly explains the spit test
This Questionnaire is a modified, condensed version, from The Yeast Connection and the Women’s Health, and is most appropriate for adult males and adult females as well; if suspected of having issues with regard to yeast. Now you will need to grab a piece of paper and a pencil/pen. If you find in reading the question, your response is "yes", write the point value assigned to that particular question. In the end, you will need to add up the all of the points! Whatever your score is will better help you to determine whether or not your health issues are yeast-related. 1. Have you taken any antibacterial drugs? 4 points 2. Have you had issues with vaginal, prostate or urinary tract infections? 3 points 3. Do you feel "sick all over," not sure exactly what is wrong? 2 points 4. Have you had issues with your hormones, like PMS, menstrual irregularities, low libido, cravings of sweets, or fatigue? 2 points 5. Does the smell of tobacco smoke, perfumes, colognes and other chemical odors bother you? 2 points 6. Are there times when you can’t seem to focus, feeling “spaced out”, or have a short-term memory? 2 points 7. Have you ever taken steroids, soy or have you taken "the pill" for 3 years or more? 2 points 8. Do you have digestive issues (where certain foods do not agree with you)? 2 points 9. Do you have regular bowel movements, or are you constipated, have diarrhea, bloating or abdominal pain? 1 point 10. Do you have itchy skin? Does your skin tingle or burn? Do you have eczema or excessive dry skin, or psoriasis with rashes? 1 point Scoring for women: If your score is 9 or more, your health problems are probably yeast-connected. If your score is 12 or more, your health problems are not severe, yet yeast-related. Scoring for men: If your score is 7 or more, your health problems are more than likely yeast-related. If your score is 10 or more, your health problems are not severe, yet yeast-related. Top of Page Next Page
